I sanitized everything when traveling. I did it before Covid19, and I do it now. I remember when my family would make fun of me as I pulled out the Lysol wipes and spray and made my way around any hotel room we stayed at even the 5-star luxury hotels.
My husband and daughter would roll their eyes when I exclaim "Don't Touch ANYTHING" as I sprayed every flat area with disinfectant. I even purchased scented stuff for the sake of my husband.
Since Covid19 I've gotten worse. I now carry hand sanitizer that I use liberally. I love hand sanitizer! I use it for a variety of things on the road.
Here are some of hand sanitizer's uses:
I use it to clean off restaurant tables
It works as a utensil cleaner
You can use it instead of a public bathroom sink (I recommend using it AFTER you open and close the bathroom doors!)
It makes for a good spot remover (Spot check the fabric first)
Cleaning makeup brushes on the road is a snap with alcohol-based hand sanitizers
Spray sanitizers work well to disinfect dirty public areas.
I also carry a can of Lysol in the diaper bag so the baby doesn't catch anything when we change diapers.
Being a germaphobe has become a good thing in a post Covid19 world. I have noticed that my family suffers from less illness since we've incorporated sanitizing into our everyday life and more so when we travel.
